A Message from the "R"
I have been involved in this community since I was a little kid roughly 5 years old going to Emmaus events with my parents. When I was old enough I went on my Chrysalis walk on C-52 back in summer of 2002. My life then changed and it lead me to team on many Chrysalis walks and then I was privileged to be an R for C-61. Later, I was asked to team on Emmaus for my first walk on E-141 and have done the same thing and continued to team. God has been good as I have been blessed to continue to serve and now have been asked to lead Emmaus 183. It is a blessing to be chosen by our Lord to serve him in this capacity and I am so excited to see His vison unfold for this weekend and for the pilgrims who will be coming up to further their relationship with Christ.
When I sat down to think about the theme of this weekend, I kept getting the image of the open tomb. I went into my bible and read the story of Jesus' resurrection and then prayed. After that prayer I knew that the theme of this weekend would be Your Love Never Fails. I then got into my car for work and when I turned on the radio the song One Thing Remains came on and the chorus kept repeating your love never fails, it never gives up, never runs out on me. This is what is fueling me for this weekend as His love never fails for us. Jesus paid the price for us all and then conquered death proving that love never fails. This is the Good News that we are called as disciples to spread and I as mentioned above am honored to have been selected by God to lead this weekend and work with the amazing team that He has assembled.
Teaming has been AMAZING as God has assembled powerful men to help minister. The testimonies for the talks have been earth shattering and I know that it will be a huge impact for the pilgrims. Please continue to keep us in prayer and I know you all already have. It is inspiring to see the number 183 and to know how many years we have been serving our Lord with this 4 Day experience. I know that God will continue us for many many more years to come with this ministry. Thank you all. Fly With Christ and DeColores!!!
