A Message from the "R"
I am humbled by the trust the community has placed in me to lead their pilgrims through their Emmaus Experience. I acknowledge that I am not worthy of this honor, but could not deny the opportunity to serve the Community after they so faithfully served me with a special anointing before leaving and with the prayers as I was serving our Nation at the Cradle of Civilization (Iraq). God answered their prayers and provided a protective shield the entire time. I have called a group of Godly men and women to provide our pilgrims an unforgettable Emmaus Experience and together we are “Forgiven.”
One of the greatest aspects of being a Christian is that we are FORGIVEN! There are many scriptures that address this fact, however, I have decided on Luke 5:20, When Jesus saw their faith, He said “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” One of the greatest comforts of being a Christian is knowing that we are in fact forgiven. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 31:34 that we are forgiven of our inequities and that our sins will be forgotten. St John wrote in 1 John 1:9,”If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”, and St. Paul wrote to the Romans in verse 8:1 and said “there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. We in the Emmaus Community know that it can only get better!
I am expecting the Holy Spirit to lead us through many highpoints of the weekend and expecting two to be extra special high points. The 1st coming on Saturday Afternoon when we experience first hand what St. John wrote about in 1 John 1:9 when we are once again reminded that we are FORGIVEN. The 2nd will be when the Community comes to take their Pilgrim back home and is able to see how their prayers have been answered.
I pray that the team of E-151 will provide life-changing Christian growth for everyone that participates, to include the team members and their families.
Below is the current list of our confirmed Pilgrims. We ask you to continue to pray for all of us, lift us up and join us at the appropriate time on the mountain - that we might share a full measure of God's love with our newly charged leaders as they begin their Fourth Day.

* Day of Deeper Understanding
Our E151 DDU will be held at 8:00AM, Saturday, November 7 at Springfield UMC. This will be a wonderful reunion, and a chance to learn a bit more about this amazing organization. Come hear about the history of the Emmaus NCA, how the weekends are pd, and how you can help with this blessed ministry opportunity.
Remember, you must attend a DDU before sponsoring friends or joining a Team.
