A Message from the WLD

Proverbs 3: 5 and 6:  “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

We, the team for E-144, have been using these verses to illuminate our way as we open our hearts and minds to what God needs us to do for the pilgrims who will be joining us on the mountain in October.  You have been praying for us before we were even a team and have been praying for the pilgrims before you knew their names.  We thank you and ask that you continue lifting us up in prayer.

As we “step out on the water” to carry out our responsibilities, our hearts are focused on the pilgrims and our souls are focused on glorifying our Lord in all that we do.  We know that the Holy Spirit will equip us with all that we need.  We certainly have been blessed to be a blessing.  Please join us in our prayer that each person will encounter Jesus in a new and wonderful way October 16-19 in New Windsor.

Sandy Theiss, Rectora

* Day of Deeper Understanding

Our DDU will be held at Sleepy Hollow UMC in Falls Church from 8:30 to 12pm on November 1. This will be a great time for seeing friends and a chance to learn more about the Emmaus community and how it is organized. There will be a speaker and, of course, singing and food! Come and hear about how the weekends are prepared and the history of the Walk to Emmaus.

Our E000 DDU will be held at 8:30AM, Saturday, Date at Place. This will be a wonderful reunion, and a chance to learn a bit more about this amazing organization. Come hear about the history of the Walk to Emmaus, how the weekends are pd, and how you can help with this blessed ministry opportunity.

Remember, you must attend a DDU before sponsoring friends or joining a Team.

Christ is Counting on You ~ See you there!!!
