A Message from the WLD Isaiah 40:3-4 (NIV) A voice of one calling: "In the desert prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the wilderness a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. Isaiah 57:14 (NIV) And it will be said: "Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of my people." Isaiah 40:3-4 and Isaiah 57:14 calls for believers to build a road for the Lord and his people, to level mountains, fill valleys, and remove obstacles. This is truly a call to for people of faith to be active not passive. While no one can obtain or earn salvation for another, one can ease the way for others by relieving them of earthly concerns. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, healing the sick, and removing other distractions that allow people to shift their focus from their human condition to the spiritual. It is our focus on Christ and eternal life that will enable us to bring about God’s kingdom here on earth.
