A Message from the WLD It’s so amazing to me that it was almost 9 months ago when I said yes to God’s call to be the weekend Lay Director (Rectora J) for E-122, and here we are getting ready to soon be on the mountaintop with 40 wonderful pilgrims. I thought I would share a little bit about how our theme came to be. As I was worshipping one Sunday morning, already having a different theme picked out, we were singing a song called “All About Love,” and as I sang the words, God revealed to me that “It’s All About Love!” needed to be our theme. Suddenly, a peace came over me and my eyes filled with tears and it was evident to me that God had just placed HIS theme on my heart. Then, as I went to Him for direction for a scripture verse to go along with our theme, He also provided that as I searched the Bible for just the right scripture. As I read the many verses on love, I knew I had just come upon the verse He led me to because my heart was again filled with that same peace that came from the knowledge that this was the next piece He was providing. Our scripture theme is John 13: 34-55 “Love one another as I have loved you. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” My prayer will be that everyone who comes to our weekend will leave seeing God’s love clearer than ever before, and that they will leave knowing that they can share that same love with others in the things they do each and every day. It’s not all about what we say, but it’s how we live our lives and treat each other that will show to the world what the love of God and having Jesus in our hearts is all about. And by living our lives that way, we can reach one more for Jesus Christ. “It’s All About Love!” DeColores, My Dear Sisters and Brothers! Karen Elgin
