Rector's Message

Philippians 2:10,11 tells us that at the name of Jesus, EVERY knee shall bow and EVERY tongue confess that Jesus is Lord to the glory of God the Father. The book of Revelations repeats this theme. Note that this reverence will flow not only from those of us who believe, but from all of creation. Why? Because the second coming will not be a baby in a lowly manger, but a glorious king surrounded by tens of thousands of angels and great glory witnessed by the whole earth. The sheer majesty of that event and those to follow will cause all of creation to react with awe and humility.
And to think that we have the privilege of serving this same great king in the here and now through the Emmaus experience, causes our knees to bow and tongues to confess on this very day. There is not a more appropriate theme for the weekend than “EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW”. Indeed we have.
The entire team thanks the Lord for the Emmaus community who through prayer and diligent recruiting has blessed the weekend with 38 pilgrims to date. Pray they will stay with us. And then, since a few more likely will be joining us, please check the NCA Emmaus website daily for their names and bless them along with the others with your agape love.
God has drawn the team together into a closely knit group with just 2 meetings left and we’re all excited to see His work unfold in New Windsor beginning July 15. We covet your continued prayers and look forward to seeing many of you there with your pilgrims.
